SCUM: An Eclipse Phase Board Game

SCUM is a co-op/competitive board game where players fight to defend their habitat from a mysterious threat bent on its destruction. Use your skills and rep to build a powerful tableau, then blow it all up to unleash an epic turn! Based on the RPG Eclipse Phase, SCUM doubles down on the evocative world-building of the original game. Manipulating your rep, commanding your AI muse, and calling in favors with the denizens of the Scum swarm, you must uncover the mastermind behind the plot and hatch a crazy plan to defeat them before the multiplying threats unleashed upon the swarm overwhelm it and force the unthinkable. Swap morphs, fabricate black market gear, run illicit software, and inflate your rep. From the very first turn, challenging tactical decisions and an intricate web of resource and hand management will have you walking a razor-thin line between victory and defeat. The core game concept is to upgrade your player board and then unleash it. SCUM is driven by action selection mechanics building up your playerboard with volatile morphs, fabricated schematics, and inventive AI shenanigans, all while managing your rep upon the swarm to gain favors with its denizens. If the players manage to reveal the mastermind through enough investigation, and complete a set number of objectives on the 3 random Plan cards, the mastermind is defeated, and the Scum swarm has been saved.
