The Invasion of Sicily: Part 3 – Operation Husky: A Walk in the Park!

Focusing on the Canadian 1st Division during the Invasion of Sicily in 1943. This packet covers the Canadian infantry's difficult march into Sicily's mountainous center. The 1st Canadian Infantry Division left Britain across 92 Allied convoy ships for Operation Husky. Tragically, German U-boats sank three of these transport vessels en route, resulting in severe losses of the division’s vehicles and heavy transport.
