Duetwoorden is a party game in which two players simultaneously act out the two parts of a compound word—without knowing what the other is portraying. The guessing players only see the combined performance and must identify the full word.
Each card contains a compound word split into two separate nouns. One performer acts the first part, the other the second part. No talking, pointing or sounds are allowed; players can only use body language, gestures and facial expressions.
Duetwoorden can be played competitively or cooperatively. In competitive games, teams take turns sending a duo forward while the rest of their team guesses. In cooperative play, all players work together to score as many correct guesses as possible within a set number of rounds.
The game scales well for groups and is suitable for families, friends and casual players who enjoy creative acting and light deduction.
