Croterra

Croterra The Final War Has Begun In a dying realm where darkness looms rival Kingdoms wage war over the last hope for salvation—the newly emerged land of Croterra and the powerful artifacts buried within it. Ancient gods whisper, Arcanic power surges, and only those who master the balance of war, faith, and the unknown will endure. Croterra is a competitive strategy boardgame for 1-6 players, where every choice has lasting consequences. Players command a kingdom with unique strengths, but raw might alone won’t win this war. To survive, you must outthink your rivals, manipulate fate, and wield the realm’s unpredictable forces to your advantage. At the heart of Croterra lies a distinct resource system that demands strategic foresight and adaptability: ⚡ Gold accrues interest over time, rewarding those who plan ahead. ⚡ Arcanic Cores are never discarded, but remain perilously scarce—a powerful edge for those who control them. ⚡ Prayers can summon divine intervention—but will it be a blessing or a curse? To claim victory, you must multiply your Arcanic, Personnel, and Divinity points—neglect any one, and your kingdom will fall into ruin. War Has Changed Forever. The rise of Arcanic power has shattered the old ways of battle. Some fear it as an unnatural force, while others whisper of it belonging to an age yet to come. What's certain is that those who wield it alongside divine blessings and military strength will reshape the realm itself. But beware—the gods are fickle, and the power you summon may not be the one you intended. Throughout the game, you must balance risk and reward—building your kingdom's future, seizing fleeting opportunities, and outmaneuvering opponents whose strategies may be more deceptive than they appear. ⚔️ Progress Cards offer unpredictable yet powerful advantages. ⚔️ Bolsters provide costly but reliable boosts to production and scoring. ⚔️ Divinity Cards introduce celestial forces that can reshape the very fabric of the game. Take Avarice, for example—a divine boon that turns every resource, whether yours or your opponent’s, into pure Gold. Will you claim this "gift" for yourself or curse your enemies with its burden? A Rival Unlike Any Other awaits in the Solo 1 Player Mode. For those who dare accept the challenge, Morvena Dreadmore awaits—a relentless and cunning solo opponent that will push even the most strategic rulers to their limits. Will you master the ever-shifting balance of power, or will your kingdom be swallowed by the darkness? Stake your claim. Command your kingdom. Shape the future... or perish. —description from Zachary Shore, Designer
