In Scripta Scriptorum, you take the role of a medieval monk, completing their manuscript page.
The game's driving mechanism is writing in Latin, completing rows in black or red color, adding decorative elements, all white, fitting your selections perfectly, and unlocking special letters in order to choose later on how your engine building is going to evolve.
All other players, can do "follow" actions that have to do with drawing medieval marginalia by set collection, drawing vines and unlocking special bonuses and abilities, or painting various parts of the aforementioned along with the Initial letter to go up the track and get extra actions.
Once a player is not able to add any more Latin words, then the game is over and we tally up victory points based on our latin text, various points on our tracks and our unlocked end game goals.
A medium-weight euro that requires a printer and a few colored markers for all your combotastic mechanisms.
