This is a chess set specifically designed with the new/young player in mind. The game itself plays normally, but each piece has a base and a top portion which separates. The idea is to place a "prize" inside each and as the child captures a piece he/she gets the prize inside. (The game comes with some nice stickers as a start.) The game also includes one of the best starter booklets I have seen.
